趣味のお菓子作りができる大きなアイランドカウンターが主役の空間――施主の要望は初めから明確だった。広々としたキッチンを実現するにはマンションの既存の間取りが重要になると察し、物件選びから相談を受け、内覧に同行し青写真を描きながら物件契約までサポートし、プロジェクトを進めた。
3LDKの壁を取り払い、アイランドカウンターを中央に配した明快なワンルームの構成。壁面側にはキッチンカウンター、食器や家電の収納スペース、冷蔵庫などがフラットに収まるよう設計している。それらはスムーズな作業動線を確保し、アイランドカウンターの存在感をより際立たせている。
空間のマテリアルは、北欧家具やヴィンテージ家具を置くことを前提に選定した。味のある家具と調和がとれるよう、オーク材のフローリングにはハンドスクレイプ加工を施し、グレーに染色した後、との粉（白い木の粉）で仕上げている。
全体の照明には無線調光システム「Smart LEDZ Base」を採用。アプリで調光・調色が操作でき、毎日の生活に合わせたスケジュール設定が可能だ。Google Homeとの連携でハンズフリーでの操作もできる。
床・壁・天井の不要な凹凸は、知らず知らずのうちに住む人へ違和感を与え続けるものだ。住まいとしての機能を満たしながら、目にも心地よい空間となるよう、不要なノイズを極力取り除くことを意識した。結果として、お菓子作りに没頭できるコンパクトで上質な空間が生まれた。

From the very beginning, the client's vision was crystal clear—a spacious kitchen with a large island counter at its heart, perfect for their love of home baking. Understanding that the existing layout of the apartment would be a key factor in bringing this vision to life, we became involved from the property selection stage. We accompanied the client to viewings, envisioned the potential of each space, and provided support throughout the purchase process to ensure the ideal foundation for the project.
The original 3LDK layout was transformed into a seamless, open-concept space with a bold island counter as the central feature. Along the wall, a kitchen counter, storage for dishes and appliances, and a refrigerator were all designed to fit flush, creating a clean and streamlined look. This arrangement not only enhances workflow efficiency but also accentuates the striking presence of the island counter.
The materials for the space were carefully chosen with Scandinavian and vintage furniture in mind. To complement these character-rich furnishings, the flooring was crafted from oak with a hand-scraped texture, gray staining, and a whitewood powder finish, creating a warm and refined ambiance.
In designing the space, special attention was paid to eliminating unnecessary visual noise. Subtle yet unintentional indentations and protrusions at the junctions of floors, walls, and ceilings can create an unconscious sense of discomfort over time. By refining these details, we achieved an environment that is both aesthetically soothing and highly functional as a living space.
The result is a compact yet elegant space, thoughtfully curated for immersive and joyful baking experiences.
